Over the past 6 years, we have done a seasonal donation raising close to $25,000.  The money is spent between Children’s Hospitals (Global Medical Relief Fund) and purchasing toys to help children in need have a better Holiday.

This idea originated on the twoplustwo poker forum by a few professional players just looking to do something nice.  It started off with a bang and a huge year donating $3,500 to purchase toys.  The second year took a bit of a hit when poker Black Friday really crushed the poker community.  On the third year we decided to included the Global Medical Relief Fund and Children’s Hospitals as a major component of our donation.  The toys are amazing and create a ton of smiles, but being able to help save lives is something special.  Toys for Kids has grown through word of mouth and some amazing media written about us to an all time high of over $8,000 donated in 2014.

2015 Agenda:

1. We work with a group and the city that sets up a day event for the children with free games, rides, food and each kid gets to take a toy home (most of the toys are from our donation)
2. We donate the other portion of the money to the Global Medical Relief Fund
3. We also visit children’s hospitals, spend time and deliver toys

• Over the years I’ve formed solid relationships with the stores which have yielded sizable discounts on the purchase price (you are free to donate individually, but the money will be stretched farther going through us.)  I also want to make sure the money is allocated properly as 100% is donated.
